How GPA is calculated
Each letter grade is converted to grade points on the standard U.S. 4.0 scale (A = 4.0, A- = 3.7, B+ = 3.3, and so on). Your GPA is the sum of (grade points × credit hours) for every course, divided by your total credit hours — this weights harder, higher-credit classes appropriately.
